VEIDEC Silver Eagle Racing is heading towards the Michelin Le Mans Cup for 2021 and 2022

The Belgian VEIDEC Silver Eagle Racing Team switches to the Michelin Le Mans Cup after two GT4 vice-championships in 2018 and 2019 and a GT3 title last year. The two regular drivers Wim Spinoy and Kenneth Heyer will share a Mercedes-AMG GT3. A brand new challenge in a new team. For the next two years they will fight for the 24h Le Mans starting entry together with 10QRacing. And when the entry is reached they’ll start in the 24H Le mans!

In addition to the Nordschleife program and other 24h races, 10QRacing will also align its long-distance program towards Le Mans and contest the Michelin Le Mans Cup. Team boss Thomas Zabel: “We want to be a real Endurance Team. This includes the 24h Nürburgring and the 24h Spa as well as other 24h and 12h races from time to time. Also in 2021 we are facing a season full of challenges due to Corona and I am all the more pleased with VEIDEC and the Michelin le Mans Cup, both a great sponsor and technical development partner as well as a great further long-distance program with the goal of 24h Le Mans. We also see the Le Mans Cup as a great platform to establish ourselves permanently in international endurance racing and we look forward to that challenge! "

Wim Spinoy: “The strong partnership with VEIDEC and the common goals are the basis of this alliance. We have developed steadily over the past 4 years and want to further establish VEIDEC and ourselves in the international motorsport. The 24h Le Mans is the biggest endurance race in the world and that's where we want to go with VEIDEC! Kenneth Heyer: “I really drove every possible series which were possible in the past, but not yet at 24h Le Mans! This ist he big goal… I have been driving exclusively with Mercedes vehicles for 10 years now and personally it would be a dream if the ACO followed IMSA and we could actually compete in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the 24h Le Mans in 2022 or 2023. With VEIDEC, 10Q, Wim and myself we have 4 strong parties who will work very hard to make Le Mans a reality. I see the Le Mans Cup as the ideal platform for both VEIDEC and 10Q and the logical sporting step after the early years. "
