Seal Finish
Professional Tooling Agent for Sealants
Seal Finish is a Green Line product with a silicone-free, water-based and pH-neutral tooling agent that helps you create a smooth, even and professional joint before the sealant begins to skin over.
The product is designed for tooling MS polymer, silicone, PU and acrylic sealants. It provides a consistent and repeatable working method and replaces homemade mixtures of dishwashing liquid and water, where concentration and results can easily vary.
Why professionals choose Seal Finish
- Smoother joints with better control – makes it easier to shape a neat, smooth and professionally finished joint.
- Suitable for several common sealant types – for use with MS polymer, silicone, PU and acrylic sealants.
- Suitable for natural stone – can be used on natural stone and sensitive surfaces.
A controlled method instead of dishwashing liquid and water
When joints are tooled using a homemade mixture of dishwashing liquid and water, the concentration can vary from one application to another. Too much detergent can leave residues on the sealant or substrate, while too little can make tooling more difficult. Different users may also mix the solution differently, making consistent results harder to achieve.
Seal Finish is a professional product with defined properties. This provides better control over both the working method and the visible finish. When several installers carry out the same type of work, it also makes it easier to establish a consistent and standardised method.
For MS polymer, silicone, PU and acrylic sealants
Seal Finish can be used for tooling:
- MS polymer sealants
- Silicone sealants
- PU sealants
- Acrylic sealants
This makes the product suitable for a wide range of sealing and jointing applications in construction, industry, assembly, vehicle manufacturing, marine applications, service and maintenance.
Seal Finish fits naturally into the workflow alongside sealants such as S-Bond and X-treme Sealer. Always check that the specific sealant and substrate are suitable for the method before use.
For natural stone and sensitive surfaces
Seal Finish can be used on natural stone and other sensitive surfaces. Use the product sparingly and remove any excess before it dries.
Natural stone can vary in porosity and surface treatment. Therefore, always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application. Use clean tools and do not allow the tooling agent to dry on the stone.
Silicone-free, water-based and pH-neutral
Seal Finish is a transparent, silicone-free and water-based liquid with a pH of approximately 7. The application temperature is +5°C to +40°C. The product is supplied in a 500 ml plastic bottle and has a shelf life of 24 months when stored correctly.
How to use Seal Finish
Seal Finish should be used immediately after the sealant has been applied and before it begins to skin over.
The product can be used as supplied or diluted with water if required. On natural stone, Seal Finish can be used undiluted.
Method 1 – Spray directly onto the joint
Spray a thin layer of Seal Finish onto the freshly applied sealant. Then run a finger along the joint until the desired shape and finish are achieved.
Do not use more product than necessary.
Method 2 – Use a tooling tool
Pour a small amount of Seal Finish into a separate, clean container. Lightly dip the tooling tool into the liquid and draw it along the freshly applied sealant.
Regularly wipe excess sealant from the tool using paper.
After tooling, remove any excess Seal Finish from surrounding surfaces with a clean cloth or rinse with water before it dries.
Do not pour used or contaminated liquid back into the original container.
Always test on a small, inconspicuous area before use on sensitive or unfamiliar materials.
